Relay Self-Oscillations for Second Order, Stable, Nonminimum Phase Plants

چکیده

We study a relay feedback system (RFS) having an ideal element and linear, time-invariant, second-order plant. The is modeled as on-off switch. And the plant using transfer function that follows: first, Hurwitz stable, second, proper, third, has positive real zero, andfourth, dc gain. analyze this RFS state-space description, with closed-form expressions for state trajectory from one switching time to next. prove transformation next, Schur stable linearization, contraction mapping. Then Banach mapping theorem, we all trajectories of converge asymptotically unique limit cycle. This cycle symmetric, unimodal it exactly two switches per period. result helps understand behavior autotuning method, when applied plants no delay. also treat case where either finite or zero negative.

Relay Control with Parallel Compensator for Nonminimum Phase Plants

Following the Smith compensator the parallel compensator designed for difficult, e.g. nonminimum phase plants is applied to systems with relay control. The compensator connected in parallel to the plant changes its properties so that the replacement plant model becomes simpler and may be shaped dependently upon the goal of the control. In the case of regulation on a constant level a first order...

QFT Design for Uncertain Nonminimum Phase and Unstable Plants

Design of robust controllers for uncertain non-minimum phase and unstable plants with the Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) is addressed in this paper. Several counterexamples including non-minimum phase plants and unstable plants are given to illustrate the errors in Horowitz and Sidi method 7, 5]. It is shown that the stability requirement of the new nominal plants is misused or ignored in t...

Stable Inversion for Nonlinear Nonminimum-Phase Time-Varying Systems

In this paper, we extend stable inversion to nonlinear time-varying systems and study computational issues—the technique is applicable to minimum-phase as well as nonminimum-phase systems. The inversion technique is new, even in the linear time-varying case, and relies on partitioning (the dichotomic split of) the linearized system dynamics into time-varying, stable, and unstable, submanifolds....

Iterative Learning Control for Nonlinear Nonminimum Phase Plants

Learning control is a very effective approach for tracking control in processes occurring repetitively over a fixed interval of time. In this paper a robust learning algorithm is proposed for a generic family of nonlinear, nonminimum phase plants with disturbances and initialization error. The ‘‘stable-inversion’’ method of Devasia, Chen and Paden is applied to develop a learning controller for...

Design of an Stable GPC for Nonminimum Phase LTI Systems

The current methods of predictive controllers are utilized for those processes in which the rate of output variations is not high. For such processes, therefore, stability can be achieved by implementing the constrained predictive controller or applying infinite prediction horizon. When the rate of the output growth is high (e.g. for unstable nonminimum phase process) the stabilization seems to...
